Corporate Values

In November 2009 we introduced new corporate values at ABN AMRO. These values act as an ethical compass, form the core of our corporate culture, and are the basis of all activities of the bank.

Our corporate values are: Trusted, Expert and Ambitious.

Trusted means having the confidence of our clients, employees and management. It is about being chosen to be a part of the lives of our communities. It is about starting and maintaining long-term relationships; about being reliable, safe, and honest; as well as being close to customers and employees. ABN AMRO's vast expertise and knowledge of all facets of the banking industry have been tried and tested, and found true by our clients. Customers of ABN AMRO experience this in any contact with the bank. Employees radiate this out to each other and to customers. Advice and sale are based on a mutual beneficial long-term relationship between the customer and the bank.

Expert ABN AMRO is an expert in the banking industry, and has skilled and competent staff who are reliable sources of our expertise for our clients and community. Staff who are committed, seasoned professionals who look after the interests of the customer, and of the bank. They are adept at finding new solutions or applying existing solutions in new situations.

Ambitious is having the desire to transcend the limits. By being ambitious, we strive to set the trend in being the first in addressing new developments and to go the extra mile for our clients. Being ambitious is having a positive view of what will be possible in the future and to be eager to shape this and give direction. There is a clear reason for ABN AMRO being a bank that wants more for its customers. This goes further than just thinking. It is also about offering solutions others don't think of, about going above and beyond what is expected, and offering clients more than they ask for. We are ambitious for customers with ambition.
